The name Teen Patti means ‘three cards’ in Hindi and is played with a 52-card deck, without the Jokers. Ace is designated as the highest value card and ‘two’ stands as the lowest value card. You can wager on whether Player A’s hand or Player B’s hand has the higher order of the cards.
‘Back’ betting is betting on an outcome to happen while “Lay” betting always stands to win the stake of the opposing bet; that is, betting on an outcome NOT to happen. You will have 6 chances to bet in the game before any card is revealed and after each card is revealed.
At the beginning of the game, you can only ‘Back’ on Player A or Player B before any cards are revealed. After each player gets their first card, you can choose to ‘Back’ or ‘Lay’ on the player with stronger hands.
There’s also a special feature called ‘Cash Out’ which allows the early settlement for whole or a portion of your bet before the results of the games are determined. You can choose to cash out up to 5 times after each card is revealed. Even after cashing out, you will still be able to continue betting.
